#248: yellowjacket

Seth, Lou, Jill, the vicomte, Timmy, Tuesday and Antimony are all less suspicious to the eyes of the Chartannian Republic Customs Service than the main character of Heliothaumic, despite the fact that they are all clearly unauthorized migrants from other comics.

    Oh, hell.

Is that Tuesday from Templar AZ on the screen? Also, you draw a cute Antimony.

Can’t be Tuesday – looks like she’s wearing clothes! ;)

    Lou, from d e a d . w i n t e r !! One of my faves. And I just started reading Gunnerkrig Court.

Hard to recognize Tuesday with her clothes on…

As for the others, I guess I have more to read now.

“You have been selected for random inspection”

“Well, if I’ve been selected, it’s scarcely random, is it?

I like how he’s holding a book on aquaducts! Very nice touch!

    And Tuesday on the tube!

    Damn, damn, damn.

On the brightside, they can verify your identity as soon as they get you in front of a camera. Thanks big brother bot!

Lou is reading about aqueducts! Ha ha ha! Nice touch.
    Jill from Darken, perhaps?

  8. CatOfEvilGenius

Jill with a fan, hee hee! (Why can’t I edit my own comments?)

Let me guess, they selected Cass for being brown. Is that right?

    • sisterscientist

No, she’s just a suspiciously snappy dresser. I mean, what sort of student can afford so many snazzy outfits? Only a TERRORIST student.

      • Tamayo

It might not be the outfits. It might be the druidic tattoos that the outfits conceal. (Or not always conceal, in Cassandra’s case, naturally.)

It’s just occurred to me. I am impressed tat the Chartannian policemen overcame their natural sexism (assuming that Yellowjacket is a “he”) for long enough to be institutionally racist.

Progress, it is made slowly when you are dealing with fuck-wits.

Do we know that Cassandra isn’t Yellowjacket?

    • Carl-E

Good question. But really, Who do we know with a yellow jacket?

OK, technically it’s a shirt, but she does like yellow.

      • Z

True. Also, we saw her accessing “the database”, and the TV screen in the back says “Is the Database safe?”. And she belongs to a revolutionary group that has as one of its goals the downfall of the core. She does seem like a much more likely suspect.

Of course, if Yuko is Yellowjacket, Cassie still has social connections to the terrorist in question. That could result in enough circumstantial evidence to cause her some real trouble.
