   Okay … which Dickensian villain is Kanauithi? ;-) I am thinking first of Uriah Heep, of course, but Kanauithi is too loyal to the Archmagess (in his twisted way) and thus not nearly selfish enough to be Heep. Hmmmm

   Awww, Akira can’t leave the kid! She seems to be the only person who treats Leanis nicely!

   I think Telith will have a mini-revolution on her hands if Akira escapes and Leanis is left without a governess. (On the other hand, she’d probably feel even more awful if Akira kidnapped Leanis and took her to freedom. I don’t know which of them I’d feel more sorry for.)
